What is gswap?
gswap is a peer-to-peer marketplace for renting snow gear. You can rent snowboards, skis, and other winter equipment from locals near you, or list your own gear to earn extra cash when you're not using it.
How do I rent gear?
Once the app launches, simply browse available listings near you, select the gear you want, choose your rental dates, and book directly through the app. You'll coordinate pickup with the owner via in-app messaging.
How do I list my gear?
After creating an account, you can list your gear by adding photos, a description, pricing, and availability. Once your listing is reviewed and approved, it will be visible to renters in your area.
Is my gear protected?
Yes! All rentals include a security deposit that protects owners against damage or loss. We also verify user identities and provide secure payment processing through Stripe.
How do payments work?
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Renters pay when booking, and owners receive their earnings after the rental is completed. A small service fee helps us keep the platform running.
Where is gswap available?
We're launching first in the Lake Tahoe area and will expand to other ski regions soon. Join the waitlist to be notified when we're available in your area!
What if there's an issue with my rental?
We have a dispute resolution process to handle any issues between renters and owners. Contact our support team and we'll help mediate and find a fair solution.
